You're Carrying Enough. Let Us Help You Navigate This Part.

Helping a parent through Medicare, insurance, and long-term care decisions can feel like a second job — especially when you're already carrying everything else in your life. You don't have to carry every question alone.

You Don't Need to Know the Answers Before You Call

Most adult children who reach out to us say the same thing: "I don't even know what I don't know." That's exactly the right place to start. You don't need to arrive with prior knowledge, a list of the right questions, or a clear picture of what your parent needs. You just need to be there — and we'll take it from there together.

We can meet with you alone first to walk through the basics, answer your questions, and help you understand what your parent's situation actually calls for. Then, when you're ready, we bring everyone together — you, your parent, and your advisor — by phone or Zoom, so decisions get made as a family rather than relayed through you as the intermediary.

The Situations Families Most Often Bring to Us

Every family's circumstances are different, but the moments that prompt a call tend to follow a recognizable pattern. We work with adult children navigating all of these:

A Parent Turning 65 and Entering Medicare

The Medicare enrollment window is time-sensitive, and the choices made at the start — Advantage versus Supplement, which Part D plan, whether to delay — can be difficult to undo later. We guide families through this transition so the right plan is chosen from the beginning.

A Parent Losing Employer or Retiree Coverage

When a parent's employer coverage ends or a retiree plan changes, the window to act is narrow. We help families understand what options are available, what deadlines apply, and how to move from that coverage into Medicare without gaps.

A Parent Whose Coverage Has Never Been Reviewed

Many people have been on the same Medicare plan for years without anyone checking whether it still fits their doctors, medications, and care needs. A free coverage review often reveals gaps — or confirms that the plan is working well. Either answer is useful.

A Parent Moving Toward Assisted Living or a Nursing Home

This is among the most emotionally demanding moments a family faces, and it almost always raises urgent insurance questions alongside everything else. We help families understand how Medicare intersects with facility care, and we connect families navigating nursing home placement with our long-term care planning resources — including guidance on Institutional Special Needs Plans (I-SNPs) designed specifically for residents in long-term care facilities.

What a Free Coverage Review Actually Looks Like

If you're worried your parent has the wrong coverage but aren't sure how to tell, a coverage review is the clearest place to begin. We examine what your parent currently has — their Medicare plan, any supplement or Advantage coverage, their Part D prescription plan — and compare it against their current doctors, medications, and care needs.

The review takes about 30 minutes. At the end, you'll know whether the plan is working, where the gaps are, and what better options exist. There's no cost and no obligation to change anything. Sometimes the right answer is to stay put — and we'll tell you that plainly if it's true.

One Advisor. One Call. We Handle the Insurance Side.

When you work with WitcherWay Wellness, you're not calling a general support line or starting over with a new representative every time. You work directly with Ralph or Patricia Witcher — by name, by phone, or by Zoom — and they remain your family's point of contact through every enrollment, every annual review, and every coverage question that comes up in between.

We represent more than 20 carriers with no financial incentive to favor any one plan, which means our only measure of a good recommendation is whether it genuinely fits your parent's situation. We handle the comparison, the enrollment, and the follow-up so you don't spend hours on hold with insurance carriers trying to sort out details that aren't your job to sort out.

When the Need Goes Beyond Insurance

Sometimes what a family needs isn't an insurance question — it's a legal question, a financial planning question, or a care coordination question. When that's the case, we don't hand you a phone number and wish you well. Through the Wisdom Network, we make thoughtful, prepared introductions to trusted professionals in our network: estate attorneys, financial advisors, care facility coordinators, and community specialists who are ready to receive your family with context already in place.

Your parent's situation doesn't have to be carved up and handed to strangers. We stay involved, and we make sure the people we connect you with are genuinely prepared to help.

Ready to Have This Conversation Together?

You've been managing this long enough on your own. A single conversation with Ralph or Patricia can replace hours of searching, comparing, and second-guessing — and it can be a conversation your parent is part of, not one you have to translate for them afterward.

Questions Families Ask Before Reaching Out

  • Can my parent and I both be on the call with the advisor?
Yes — and that's exactly how we prefer to work with families. We offer three-way conversations by phone or Zoom so your parent can hear the guidance directly, ask their own questions, and be part of the decision rather than receiving it secondhand. If it's helpful, we can also meet with you alone first to prepare.
  • What if my parent already has Medicare coverage — is it too late to make changes?
It's rarely too late to review. Medicare has annual enrollment windows that allow plan changes, and in some situations coverage can be adjusted outside of those windows. A free coverage review will tell you what options are available given your parent's current situation and timing.
  • My parent lives in another state. Can you still help?
Yes. WitcherWay Wellness is licensed across 17 states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. We serve clients remotely by phone and Zoom throughout all licensed states, so geography doesn't need to be a barrier to getting the right guidance.
  • What if my parent's situation involves a nursing home or memory care facility?
This is one of the most common and most urgent situations families bring to us. We can help you understand how Medicare applies to facility care, evaluate whether an Institutional Special Needs Plan (I-SNP) may be appropriate, and connect your family with care coordinators through the Wisdom Network when the situation calls for additional support.
  • How much does it cost to have a conversation or get a coverage review?
There's no cost for an initial conversation or a coverage review. We're compensated by the carriers when a plan is enrolled — which means our guidance costs your family nothing, and we have no reason to recommend anything other than what genuinely fits your parent's needs.

Your Parent Deserves the Right Coverage. You Deserve a Clearer Path Forward.

You've been doing your best to help someone you love through decisions that are genuinely complicated. That's not a small thing. Let us take the insurance side off your plate — so you can focus on being present for your parent, not buried in plan comparisons and carrier hold music.
